looking to the hills...it's where my help comes from.

Friday, April 11, 2008

i am listening to j.upton sing, "You're not alone, You're not alone... I'll never leave you, I'll never leave you..."

man, it is so nice to know Jesus won't ever leave me. plain and simple truth.

I  just needed to hear that right now.

what a good Father. He is faithful even when we're not.

such simple truths...yet it makes a world of difference in my life. and i am so thankful.

oh Jesus, how I love you. thanks for being a good daddy, a good friend.

consistent. commited.

You look past all my faults and mess ups and You still find me worth of Your time, Your life, Your devotion.

WHAT a love.

i'll never find such a love in any man or woman...no matter how often i turn to them for my "answers."

it makes me think of a keith green song i sing a lot...

"and i want to thank you now for being patient with me. it's so hard to see when my eyes are on me..."

He is simply...the answer...to everything.

and I'm just glad I know that.

spring break was so great. i went to kansas city where i stayed with my best friend, hannah bauer!

this woman is so amazing. a little background info on hannah and i. we have been friends since high school. we lead worship for our youth group together. i am so blessed to have kept some seriously amazing friendships with people from my high school days. hannah is one of those. her friendship is true. right now she is at the forerunner music academy at ihop.

i also saw grace wapelhorst and jenny hull and got to catch up with both. of course, time in the prayer room was wonderful. misty edwards inspires me so much. she's so intense in her pursuit of God. Hannah was telling me that misty just finished a ten year commitment of being single so she could serve more in the prayer room and of course to be with Jesus. and recently she stood up and told that she was giving another ten years because the last ten years were so worthwhile. man, i n t e n s e. i love it.

i got to spend a little time with my family. my parents are such a blessing. i love them.

so i am back to life...only about a month left of school. time flies. soon i'll be taking summer courses all summer. i can't wait to have a summer FREE to go on missions again. my heart misses it.

last of all, keep me in your prayers. i need wisdom and guidance and that the RIGHT decisions will be made concerning my life...just some things i'm trying to figure out. this song by tim reimherr pretty much sums everything up...

"For I'm a stranger here with You struggling inside to be a resting place for You.

And I was made to be with You and I don't truly rest until I find my rest in You.

so come and see me through."

anyway, that is my life for now... toodle-ee-doo.

i had an interview yesterday for my major [elementary education] we have to do a semester of internship and a second semester of residency [student teaching.] so that's a full year out in the field before we graduate.  my interview was yesterday.... and I GOT PLACED! yay! I am excited about it. It's crazy that my final year is coming up and I will be a college graduate in no time! I am somewhat sad to leave the college life and at the same time excited to m o v e  o n.  commerce has been a pleasant season, but I am excited to enter into the next when it comes.

spring break is next week and I am going to Kansas City to see my beloved hannah bauer and jenny hull and others...and spend some much needed time in the prayer room! I just want to soak in His presence and refocus my heart on some things.

oh and my birthday was sunday. i am 23.

i better get back to studying for my english test. goodbye.

hello. it's been a while.

i had a relaxing christmas and new year's. spent the new year's in Wisconsin and I FINALLY got to meet my beautiful niece!  honestly, i have never been so drawn to a baby. we definitely connected. you know how you meet some babies and they're cute, but you don't really feel a connection?  ... yeah, entirely not the case with my niece.  she's the CUTEST thing in the WORLD!  I will post pictures of her soon hopefully.

about to start school. again.  will this vicious cycle ever end?  nah, it's really not that bad. i'm just getting the itches to get out of here and somewhere NEW!

i wish i had more to say. i feel like no one ever reads xanga.  it's fazing out or something? there are a few faithful subscribers out there i suppose. anyway, it's not really that big of a deal.

happy new year to everyone*
